4. Cyonse's Role: Introducer and Referral Coordinator

4.1 Introducer Role Only 

 

Cyonse operates exclusively as an introducer and referral coordinator. Cyonse does not provide, supervise, manage, or control the delivery of any cyber incident response services to any client, policyholder, insurer, or other party ("Client"). 

 

4.2 Law Firm Engagement Structure

Following a referral by Cyonse, the relevant service provider will enter into a direct agreement with the law firm nominated by Cyonse for the relevant matter. This structure is intended to support the engagement of the service provider through the law firm for the purpose of maintaining legal professional privilege in connection with the relevant cyber incident. Cyonse is not a party to that direct agreement.

4.3 1800 Hotline Intake Process

​

Where a matter is initiated through the 1800 hotline referred to on this Website, the initial call is received by Mills Oakley. Mills Oakley will assess the circumstances and, where appropriate, establish the engagement structure for the purpose of supporting legal professional privilege in connection with the relevant cyber incident. 

 

Where that structure is used, Mills Oakley may engage one or more Cyonse panel members or referral network providers to deliver services such as forensic investigation, discovery, crisis response, breach response support, and other cyber incident response services. Any such services are provided by the relevant third-party provider under the applicable engagement arrangements, and not by Cyonse.

4.4 No Representations Regarding Service Providers


Cyonse makes no representations or warranties to any Client, law firm, or other party regarding any service provider's qualifications, expertise, availability, or fitness for  purpose. Clients engage service providers at their own risk, subject to the terms of  their direct agreement with the relevant law firm and service provider.

4.5 No Employment, Agency, or Partnership


Nothing in these Terms or in any engagement with Cyonse creates any employment, partnership, agency, joint venture, fiduciary relationship, or legal services arrangement between Cyonse and any service provider, Client, law firm, or other party.

5. Value to Policyholders

Cyonse's referral network is designed to deliver the following outcomes for policyholders and their insurers:


Choice of trusted vendors: access to a curated, exclusive network of specialist cyber incident response providers


Faster response: reduced damage and downtime through coordinated, timely referrals 

 

Improved incident  outcomes: better recovery results through experienced, pre-vetted specialists 

 

These outcomes are delivered through Cyonse's referral and coordination function only. Cyonse does not guarantee any particular outcome and is not responsible for the performance of any service provider.

6. Exclusive Network

Cyonse maintains an exclusive network of specialist cyber incident response service providers ("Exclusive Network"). Membership of the Exclusive Network is granted by Cyonse at its discretion and is subject to a separate written agreement between Cyonse and each service provider. References to the Exclusive Network on this 
Website are for informational purposes only and do not constitute an offer of membership or any contractual commitment.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this Website, including text, images, graphics, logos, methodology descriptions, and other materials ("Content"), is owned by or licensed to CYONSE PTY LTD and is protected by Australian copyright law and applicable intellectual property laws.


You may view and print Content for your own personal, non-commercial reference only.
